How do chemical peels work?
Chemical peels strip away old, dead skin to reveal younger, smoother skin under the surface. Chemical peels can range from superficial to mild to deep – depending on what layer of the skin it penetrates. Chemical peels flaky skin, and dull complexions. Dry, uneven skin will shed to reveal a smooth, fresh, radiant layer of skin. Peels can also balance out skin tone and texture while brightening your complexion. There are many types of chemical peels – which one is right for you?
Our PCA 6% Retinol Peel is our most popular peel because it treats hyperpigmentation – the discoloration of facial skin such as dark spots, freckles, or age spots. It’s also our aesthetician’s personal favorite to administer on herself! You peel more with this peel than with others, so if you want to shed dead layers of skin like a snake while brightening your skin and lightening your hyperpigmentation, you will love this peel.
Many patients have a certain peel in mind because they have read about it online or their friend had it and loved it, but everyone’s skin is completely different and a certain peel that works for one person may not be suitable for your skin. Our aesthetician will help you decide which peel is best for you.
