Labiaplasty Cost
First, what does “labiaplasty” mean? A term known to most but spoken about by few. Labiaplasty refers to the procedure that reduces the length of the labia minora (the inner tissue). The procedure can be desired when the labia minora hangs below the labia majora (the outer tissue) and usually causes discomfort and self-consciousness. These symptoms can cause pain during intercourse, exercise, bike riding, and other everyday activities.
This surgery can also be performed for aesthetic purposes and to simply improve the appearance if desired. In the world of plastic surgery, labiaplasty is one of the more affordable procedures. The main reason is that there are generally no “facility costs” (operating room and anesthesia). Virtually all the labiaplasty procedures we perform are in the privacy of our medical practice. Every procedure is performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon. The length of this procedure is typically an hour. Given that there are no facility costs, the range for a labiaplasty can be from $3,000 to $6,000, with an average cost of $4,500.
At Panacea Plastic Surgery, this cost includes all your pre-op appointments and all post-op and follow-up appointments. After the procedure, you will simply need to purchase antibiotic ointment. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover this procedure currently. We do offer consultations for this procedure, in which you will meet with our board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss the best options for you and the next steps.
