Panacea Plastic Surgery Reviews
I had a consultation with Heather the aesthetician and it was really wonderful. I was also comparing it to a consultation I had at a medical spa yesterday that's highly rated. Heather is really forthcoming with great information and will not push a line of products on you like many will do in the skin care industry. She's not anti dermatologist or anything you might come across often with aestheticians. She's really professional, but personable. I really liked that she focused on getting me on a basic and trusty skin care routine that I could use as soon as today and she did NOT overwhelm me with information or advice. She covered the basics and made sure I was GOOD before getting off the call. Finally, she took careful notes and sent me an email of everything we discussed with the name of a few products to purchase OTC. To boot, she added in some advice re: what I should expect from my dermatologist during my next appointment. I don't like leaving detailed reviews because they seem unnecessary, but I think great work deserves all the acknowledgement. Fantastic work, Heather.
Great office! Great staff!

Frequently Asked Questions
What level should I choose for my chemical peel?
The best chemical peel for you will depend on your specific skin issues and cosmetic goals. During your consultation, we will help you decide which formula is right for your skin. You might want to consider your overall health, your skin type, the depth of your skin concerns, the time you can commit to recovery, and what you want the peel to accomplish. For first-time patients, it's better to select a light chemical peel and decide what you think of the results. From there, you may tweak your plan to discover the best chemical peel level for your needs.
Will my face hurt after a chemical peel?
Based on the chemicals selected, you may have some discomfort throughout the treatment and shortly after. If you have a light peel, you will feel some stinging, but it goes away quickly with a handheld fan. Medium and deep peels are better for deeper skin damage and give longer-lasting results, but they are typically more uncomfortable. Numbing cream, skin medications, and ointments can be applied to help you feel more comfortable during your treatment. A member of our team will give you tips on skin care after your chemical peel to extend your results.
Can I combine a chemical peel with other treatments?
For even greater improvements to your skin, you may combine a chemical peel with another nonsurgical skin treatment at Panacea Plastic Surgery. In your initial consultation, be open with us about your skin problems so we can develop a comprehensive treatment plan to best address your goals. Your plan might include an injectable treatment for wrinkles (such as BOTOX® or JUVÉDERM®) plus a chemical peel to rejuvenate your appearance.
