Breast Augmentation in Atlanta, GA

Breast Augmentation Surgery

Breast augmentation, also known as breast enhancement, typically involves breast implants and is sometimes combined with a breast lift. However, some women only need implants for their desired breast size and shape. Our patients' reasons for seeking breast surgery are as unique as they are.

Top Reasons for Breast Augmentation

  • You've never had your "dream girls" and you're now ready and able to make them happen.
  • You had your "dream girls," you lost them, and you'd love it if someone could bring them back.
  • You would like to fill out your dresses, swimsuits, and shirts.
  • You've simply always wanted bigger breasts.
  • Breast augmentation will make you look and feel more like you.

The Right Reasons to Consider Breast Augmentation Surgery and Implants

  • Because it makes you happy and it's what you want.
  • You can love your body and love who you are, while still looking down and thinking: "OK, girls, it's time for a change."
  • Surgically altering your breasts is a big decision, and should be viewed as an investment in yourself for yourself. It is one of the most empowering choices you ever make.

I could write an essay about the amazing experience I received from Panacea. The process of deciding to get a breast augmentation took me close to a year. I went to four consultations around Atlanta. I had a special tuberous breast case, and Dr. Aboushi is the only doctor who gave me confidence that the look I wanted could be achieved. Every aspect of surgery was amazing. I also think this is the best value plastic surgeon in Atlanta. Can’t recommend this team enough.

I’m fully confident that I’m going to be over the moon happy with my “girls” when they’re completely healed - Currently 1.5 weeks post breast augmentation with lift and areola reduction and I’m super excited to see what my ladies are going to look like when everything is settled. A majority of the surgical tape is still on my incisions, but recently some came off on one areola/nipple and I’m super happy with the result. I’m also very happy with the LIFT and my new implant size! I used to have 350 cc in, and now I have 450 cc. I figured, if I were getting this surgery done, might at well go UP a size! I did a LOT of research/consults/etc in order to figure out which surgeon to choose for my “triple” procedure (lift, implant and areola reduction- I was VERY PARTICULAR about my areola size, a lot of surgeons I met with weren’t confident that they could make what I wanted happen) and I chose Dr Singh because she just has this presence about her that makes you feel comfortable. She also has a very confident demeanor as well and told me she could 100% achieve the areola size I was looking for. I scheduled a virtual consult with her (I live an hour + away from her office in ATL) and after getting off the consult with her, I knew I wanted to choose her. I will admit though, after committing to Dr. Singh, I had a bunch of appointments scheduled for IN PERSON and the first time I went to her office I got VERY scared/worried I made the wrong choice because the office isn’t your typical plastic surgeon suite. The parking is not good (but they do have a gated lot so you can assure yourself that you will have somewhere to park), and the location of her office is squeezed into a little establishment on a side-alley street. The office also feels way more Med Spa than Plastic Surgery Office, but the second Dr. Singh came in to see me in one of the examination rooms, my mind was put at ease because her bed side manner is A ++ and truly she is just such a nice person. So far, I highly recommend Dr. Singh. I met her colleague as well when she wasn’t available and he too was VERY NICE, he had the same demeanor as Dr. Singh. I’m fully confident that I’m going to be over the moon happy with my “girls” when they’re completely healed.

Dr.Singh and the staff at Panacea Plastic Surgery are so wonderful! Corrine at the front desk always remembers me and efficiently checks me in relieving me of having to stand around awkwardly and when you are post op that means so much!! Kristin is incredibly kind thoughtful and informative! Amber is the GOAT she takes care of me and has the best energy! Dr Singh won me over during our consultation because she thoughtfully listened to me and heard my concerns without interruption, judgement or condescending to me. I am 3 weeks post op and am so glad I chose Dr. Singh to help me!!!

Breast Augmentation & Implant Surgery Considerations

What's important to remember as you begin your surgical journey is that you don't have to figure it out alone. Your decision will be made with your doctor, based on your needs and preferences. Get to know Drs. Abboushi and Singh, and you'll understand why thousands of patients trust them.

Saline vs. Silicone Implants

When selecting breast implant material, it's essential to consider your body type and desired breast outcome. Generally, silicone implants are more prevalent due to their durability, but saline implants are preferred for their minimal scarring, thanks to smaller incisions, resulting in smaller scars.

Under- vs. Over-the-Muscle Implant Placement

Our board-certified plastic surgeons specialize in dual-plane breast augmentation, which gives patients the benefits of both sub-muscular and sub-glandular breast implant placement via a single, streamlined technique. However, there are circumstances when only type of implant will be appropriate. Our doctors will spend as much time as needed with you to ensure your comfort with whatever decision is made.

Breast Implant Size

Making the right choice for you is a personal decision. Our experienced surgeons will provide expert guidance to select the size that best complements your body, ensuring you achieve the desired results. Generally, we avoid placing breast implants that significantly differ from your body's proportions.

Breast Augmentation FAQ

These options may seem overwhelming, but agreeing to the appropriate implant is somewhat easy once the goals are understood during the consultation. These considerations, paired with the experience of Dr. Abboushi help to ensure the anticipated outcome is attained.

Do I need a breast lift or augmentation?

Your plan might include breast augmentation, a lift, or both. A breast lift removes excess skin and improves the breasts, while implants enhance the shape and size. During your consultation, our surgical team will listen to your concerns and goals before explaining your treatment options. A combination of augmentation and lift is usually a part of a mommy makeover to revitalize the breasts after breastfeeding and pregnancy.

Can I breastfeed with implants?

If you might want to breastfeed after augmentation surgery, be sure to tell our surgeons during your consultation. With the right surgical technique and placement, it's usually possible to breastfeed after implants. Breastfeeding and pregnancy can affect your results, so it is best to wait until your family is complete to get breast surgery.

Can I have my implants removed?

You might decide at some point that you want to replace or remove your implants. Should this happen, we can perform breast revision surgery. During the revision surgery, your old implants will be either replaced with new implants or removed. If you choose to have your implants removed, you may need to have a breast lift since larger implants can stretch your skin. If you have any questions or concerns after your breast augmentation surgery, schedule a consultation at Panacea Plastic Surgery to discuss your options.

Do implants cause breast cancer?

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is still investigating a link between breast implants and ALCL (anaplastic large cell lymphoma). This isn't breast cancer; it is a cancer of the immune system. According to WHO (the World Health Organization), implant-related ALCL is very rare and when caught early, it's easy to treat. Our team encourages all patients with breast implants to get frequent screenings for breast cancer. You should contact Panacea Plastic Surgery if you see any concerns, such as swelling or other visible changes.

Candidates for Breast Implants and Augmentations

When it comes to breast augmentation, there aren't many rules, but the ones that do exist are crucial. Ideal candidates for this procedure are not only in excellent physical health but are also emotionally secure and content with themselves. This surgery should feel like an investment in the incredible "you" you already are.

Breast Augmentation Surgical Procedure + Recovery

Breast augmentation is performed under general anesthesia in one of our partner hospitals. The procedure lasts between 1 – 2 hours, after which you will spend several hours in recovery before being discharged that evening. There are a few non-negotiables regarding recovery that you should know before scheduling surgery:

  • You must have someone drive you home after surgery.
  • A compression bra must be worn 24/7 for about one month to assist in the healing process after surgery.
  • Before breast augmentation at our Inman Park office, follow the medication instructions provided during your pre-surgical appointment. We'll contact you at least three days in advance, allowing you to pick up your medications early and mark them off your to-do list.

Recovery times may vary, but we advise most patients to take a one-week break after breast enhancement surgery.

Cost of Breast Augmentation + Implant Surgery

The cost of breast augmentation surgery starts at approximately $7,000 with saline implants, and $8,000 with silicone implants. Pricing is inclusive of all pre- and post-operative care, as well as hospital fees. These averages do not include the cost of a breast lift or mastopexy, which is a separate procedure, although it can be, and often is, performed at the same time. A combined breast lift with augmentation starts at $10,500 with saline implants, and $11500 with silicone implants. Please note that these are only average costs and pricing is truly dependent upon examination by our doctors.

There are a number of patient financing options available, including plans from CareCredit, Alphaeon and United Medical Credit.
